2021 will be the sophomore year of the newly introduced Lincoln Corsair. This vehicle goes into the new year with a few subtle additions and one major addition - the introduction of the Corsair Grand Touring. The debutant trim is expected to hit the showroom at Maplecrest Ford Lincoln in Vauxhall, NJ later in 2021 and will be a luxurious AWD PHEV model. It will be powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-liter engine and electric motor and a battery pack driving the rear wheels creating the new Corsair's special AWD configuration. The other powertrains remain unchanged, and there will be two gasoline options that could be offered either with FWD or AWD.

How does the new Lincoln Corsair perform?

As aforementioned, the new Lincoln Corsair will be offering three powertrain options, including a PHEV. The first option, the base engine, is a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 delivering 200 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The optional engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged I4 delivering 45 hp more than the base and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are powerful and quick and will be offered in tandem with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The base engine offered both FWD and AWD configurations, but the optional engine will only be available as an AWD. Then you have the debutant PHEV powertrain consisting of 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle I4 and two electric motors generating a combined horsepower of 266. This engine will be available on the Corsair Grand Touring, which will have a special type of AWD where the rear wheels will exclusively ride on electricity.

How is the Lincoln Corsair's interior seating and storage?

The new Corsair will be a five-passenger SUV, and there is plenty of room for everyone. All seats are highly adjustable, including the second row, which can slide forwards and backward to increase the rear room. This allows the occupants to choose between extra cargo capacity or improved rear legroom. The cabin is sumptuously trimmed with plenty of leather on the seats and door panels in fun color schemes of blue/white, tan/black, or soft grey/ebony.

How is the safety and technology of the new Lincoln Corsair?

The new Lincoln Corsair is very well equipped with plenty of technology to keep you both safe and comfortable.
